Rasmussen daily tracking: R 49% O 48%

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 48%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

snip:

"...today’s update is the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the second debate. Before the first presidential debate, Obama was up by two, 49% to 47%. Following that debate, Romney was up 49% to 47%. Now it’s a one-point race with two days to go before the final debate."

even. I do agree that the second debate helped change the trajectory

I hope you realize the yewn was not direct at the OP but at ras

and part of my problem was I didn't have anything to base it on, which you have now done

It is true that Rasmussen is a RW leaning poll and should be taken with a grain of salt.

For some reason....I and others on DU seem to be seeking out polls--I think because it is so close. Before the debate we had confidence. The first debate and subsequent fall out showed how fragile that Obama lead was/is--and made me nervous.

The reason I posted the poll, is because 1) we are interested and 2) it does show an uptick--which is good news for us Nervous Nancys!

major ads in newspapers to implore "christians" to vote for romney

They have CEOs going on tv and in ads saying to vote for romney, and threatening their workers

I suspect they are in panic mode
