Romney cannot win a fair election

That must be the narrative or meme or whatever you want to call it that we use from now on, in conversation, in letters to the radio, on talk radio, in social media - in every forum possible.

We can phrase it differently: Romney will have to steal the election to win. Romney is so used to cheating it's the only way he can win. The Republicans will steal the election unless we the people stop them.

It should always be followed by three proofs: Tagg Romney owns the machines that will count the votes in Ohio; Republican elected officials are making it harder for poor, Black and Hispanics to vote; the Republicans are funding efforts to intimidate, harass and suppress voters. (A fourth can be added: the corporate funded lies and smear.)

We finish with: Make sure to vote. Make sure your vote counts.

We must sow doubt in the minds of the media and the pundits. I want even Fox talking about it, because if they talk about it, Romney's theft of the election becomes an issue and part of the dialogue. The time to cast doubt on his legitimacy is now, before the election. The time to get the media wondering and thinking Pulitzer Prize expose investigation is now.

Fact: Romney cannot win this election. He can only steal it.

and in my opinion, stealing includes flooding the
airwaves with so many lies that people who aren't
otherwise informed will be swayed.

President Obama had something like an 8 point lead in Ohio,a good lead in Wisc,Iowa,PA. and even VA. was a wider margin.
The first debate could not have given Rmoney the boost they brag about, but they had to have something to legitimize the race tightening. This was media driven..Some have commented (DU) that if Ohio gets down to a tie then look out it could be the fix is in.
..So now we learn that Tag Rmoney has part ownership in the voting machines WTF ?
So lets see now...Dead even race, voting machines,Sec of State in Ohio not abiding by court order. The corporate media has Rmoney leading nationally..They keep saying President Obama got little if any boost from second debate and we may not be able to count on Eric Holder if the Ohio vote counting goes sour??
All the right wing pundits have the same scripts.Every poll they talk about they lead off with Ohio,Ohio,Ohio..
If we are even in Ohio on the eve of the election could it be that Ohio will be the Florida of 2000 all over again?

There would be no Rove Super PAC, no Sheldon Adelson, no Koch brothers, no voter disenfranchisement, and no such thing as Fox "News" or National Hate Radio.

But there is all of that. Their own assessment of their chances in a fair election is horribly bleak, which is why they know they have to artificially tip the odds to have even a ghost of a chance.

I seem to recall a column written by somebody from Politico who essentially suggested that voter suppression/disenfranchisement was one of the NECESSARY CONDITIONS for a Romney win (Simon?)

The Republicans haven't been able to win a fair election for the last 20 years (or more). Cheating signals desperation and no confidence in their candidate.

The fat cats who are spending millions are determined to put a puppet (who can hold a pen and sign his name) into the White House and will stop at NOTHING to make sure that happens.
Blatantly suppressing the vote, throwing out voter registrations, manipulating election rules to favor Republicans, poll numbers all over the place, media not doing its professional job of exposing these shameful, unfair, illicit acts to the public all points to a bought-off election.
I am sure that Obama's team knows this so I am hoping and praying that they have in place some miracle to counter.
Keep the faith.

This is a close election with an electorate that has been divided for years. Both sides have a solid lock on about 45% of the voters, who will never consider voting the other way. The 10% in the middle has limited interest in politics and can swing either way. I'll work on getting people to vote based on real arguments, not scare tactics.
