So when is the HRC camp going to stop diverting away from real issues?

(57,349 posts)She got her butt kicked in a landslide, why would they talk issues?
djean111
(14,255 posts)Any discussion of real issues is called "negative campaigning" and "smears" - by the folks who are actually doing the negative campaigning and the smears.
Very illuminating, not at all surprising.

Where do they come up with these ludicrous talking points?

(9,659 posts)the voter suppression in az actually encourages me that things can only be flipped so far
The numbers in Pima County and Maricopa are particularly glaring. Reports of five-inch thick piles of provisional ballots and up to 2/3 of ballots in a particular voting location in Pima are quite suspicious. Numbers Anonymous is using internally to monitor election results across the country suggest that Sanders should have won student rich, and reliably progressive Pima county comfortably. The lack of polling stations alone in Maricopa County cannot explain how Phoenix, with a Democratic Mayor, could see Republicans show up at the polls on election day to the tune of around 80,000 voters, while Democrats cast a paltry 33,000 votes in Maricopa County on election day.
While Early Voting is increasing in Arizona with each election, we are rather skeptical of the idea that Maricopa had nearly 100,000 fewer Democrats voting in-person over against 2008s primary between Clinton and Obama.

(814 posts)The same goes for Bernie. You should be suspicious too as it's suspected Rahm Emmanuel committed voter fraud on those machines in Illinois to get him elected instead of Jesus Chuy Garcia.

(10,170 posts)Because if DWS had not front loaded Hillary favoring states, Life in Hillary land would be quite a bit bleaker at this moment.
DanTex
(20,709 posts)DWS had nothing to do with it, of course, it's just the historical order of the primaries.

(10,170 posts)and different in other years. DWS had quite a lot to do with it.

Here is a quote
"So in the first half of the nominating season, polling data gave Sanders little to no chance in 76% of the contests.
Thats why it isnt too surprising that Sanders found himself in a deep delegate hole after the first half of the nominating process. But heres the thing: going forward, the Senator has at least a reasonable chance to win and in some cases a very high one in 89% of contests:"

This referenced primary order above was by design and a finger on the scale in Hillary's favor.

(16,975 posts)On MTP, he was challenged as to why he didn't quiet his supporters at rallys when they booed Clinton, although he used to ask them to respect her. Now he doesn't. He pretty much admitted that going negative is his strategy.
SHRED
(28,136 posts)...Bernie won't quiet his crowd down.
R B Garr
(16,975 posts)was asked about it on MTP, and he answered it.
How odd you make a whole thread about this little "non-issue". Must not be as much of a "non-issue" after all.
SHRED
(28,136 posts)They are diversions.
That's my point.
R B Garr
(16,975 posts)as a matter of course in every Presidential campaign as if Bernie is being victimized. He's not a victim. He's a participant in this process and he's been sheltered enough from the realities and banalities of it all.
I remember when Al Gore was excoriated for wearing khakis. I think he was even asked about it in a debate. Trying to shelter Bernie constantly is what seems like a tedious diversion.
But we all have our priorities. To each his/her own.
SHRED
(28,136 posts)That's about as close as you can get isn't it?
R B Garr
(16,975 posts)interview with Bernie on this last Sunday's MTP.
Explain how that originated from her campaign.
This whole victimization narrative is what is a tedious diversion. How laughable that every little thing that all candidates have endured for decades of Presidential campaigns is such a victimization narrative for Bernie and his supporters.
Bernie is not a victim. HRC is not responsible for every little political narrative known to Man. How silly.
SHRED

But this is just proof that you are willing to engage in plenty of sidebar "issues" as a diversion, they just have to be the "issues" that support your world view. So "diversions" are fine with you, after all.
SHRED
(28,136 posts)Well, I will agree to disagree with you.
R B Garr
(16,975 posts)is the perceived value they have to malign, embarrass or confront her. Yet the "issues" of Bernie humiliating his wife on national TV don't interest you. Only those diversions that harm Hillary interest you. So you are definitely into diversions, just not those that involve Bernie.

(40,416 posts)They aren't the least bit interested in discussion. Safe candidate havens serve no purpose here, especially the Hillary group, which even if one tries to get along, one gets banned, the most banning group on DU. By far! That is not a metric that I would be proud of, especially when they ban supporters. They just don't care.
