2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumNo. More. War.
This election we all have choices to make. Choices that have far reaching repercussions not only for our fellow Americans in uniform and their families but for the nation and world as a whole.
Made this, wanted to share.

(37,428 posts)...but I am happy to vote for less war.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a president who would force Congress to actually declare war?

Saying no more war is simplistic and wrong. By doing nothing more than half a million people died. Likewise by not doing more in the break up of Yugoslavia horrific war crimes were allowed to continue. You can say our military has some bad actors, but we don't set up rape camps.
Saying no more war only leaves war to the worst of humanity to inflict upon others.

(2,466 posts)situation..
The chicken hawks have taken roost and we will reap what they sow with blood and treasure they never think twice about spending.
Clearly you aren't being intellectually honest when you talk about the situations that unfolded above because there is this thing called the UN that was made to stop any country, including ours from using a military force on another countries soil unilaterally. Did the UN fail Rwanda. Yes.
America can not be the world's police men. Most of the world would like out help but there are better ways to aid countries other then sending our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, friends and lovers off to die in a foreign land in a conflict we don't fully understand to produce an outcome that might not result in peace..
