(34,125 posts)It was awesome. Everyone was so happy, hugs were just part of the deal. Every other "old" lady that walked past me hugged me and said, "Grandma's for Bernie!". It was incredibly powerful just standing in the line.
OK I got a third of the way in and had to stop. My husband is laughing at me.

We need more of this on the world. I never expected a Presidentual candidate to spark such unity and love.

(5,636 posts)That said, no question Bernie supporters are better human beings than Trump supporters. So are Hillary supporters.

In this heartwarming video, members of the Free Hugs Project attend the rallies of both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders in an effort to Make America LOVE Again! but receive two very different reactions that underscored the fundamental differences between the two sides.

(24,411 posts)When I first watched, I was mostly disgusted by the Trump supporters. Then their antics seemed incredibly depressing. As you see the Bernie supporters--it's a whole lot of happy.
Happy tears!

(154,021 posts)I was there, covering it. I missed this guy. but 13K folks, (campaign number), is a lot of people.
For the record, we are still getting confused numbers whether the Convention Center did or did not turn people away, so the number might be closer to 15K or higher. Next morning I WAS ONE SORE reporter.

(24,411 posts)I imagine that was an amazing experience. The Bernie rally that I attended was around 1,000. I can only imagine what 15,000 looks and feels like.
You'll have to post your article. Thanks for helping to get the word out.
