“President Obama wants everybody in America to go to college,” Santorum said. “What a snob!”

OH NO! Educations works and people become liberals! OH NO!

Flashback: In 2006, Rick Santorum Wanted To Send All Pennsylvanians To College
http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/02/flashback-in-2006-rick-santorum-wanted-to-send-all-paians-to-college.php

TROY, MICHIGAN — At an Americans For Prosperity-sponsored tea party rally here Saturday, Rick Santorum trumpeted his connections to the working class by attacking President Obama’s plan to make college more accessible to Americans.

....

“There are good, decent men and women who work hard every day and put their skills to the test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor,” Santorum said. “That’s why (Obama) wants you to go to college. He wants to remake you in his image.”

They think universities and other educational instistions are run by liberals pushing liberal agenda and brainwashing the youth of America. To us this sounds rediculous but many RWingers sincerely believe this.

That is why Rupert Murdoch's stable of whores can so successfully villainize education. Their sheep demand to be herded.

Of course, President Obama is not mandating College nor is Michelle taking away anybody's sweets. I guess that whenever a Democrat proposes something that they think is a "good idea" and something that might benefit people in this country, the right-wing Republican Tea Party automatically assumes that it is part of some horrible "anti-freedom" anti-working people plot that is being forced upon them.

Sometimes I wish people like Santorum would just find themselves a nice little remote island somewhere in the world to take themselves to so that they could live out their own ideological fantasies and give the rest of civilization a chance of survival/progress.

I couldn't have said it better. Given all the hyperventilation over Mrs. Obama's Let's Move campaign and the President wanting to increase affordability of college, I wonder: how can ANYONE with a working brain ever be a conservative in this era.

He doubled down on this by saying colleges/universities push liberal viewpoint. George kind of baited him and Santorum couldnt resist.

A good number of students have no business being there. Laziness, lack of focus, lack of desire and yes even a lack of intelligence should send some onto different career paths.
And remember, many people are successful with zero college education. College is not the appropriate choice for many young people.
