2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumYes, it was actually Bernie People (college kids) who heckled Hillary Clinton. There is zero doubt.
Even though we had multiple media reports saying it was Sanders supporters, people insisted that those accounts could not be trusted.
Well, case freaking closed.

(9,086 posts)They only showed Hillary's reaction. Totally different than when Sanders has been interrupted in the past and the media couldn't stop talking about it.
More mainstream media bias.
jfern
(5,204 posts)Hillary just oozes contempt for the protestors.
Cheese Sandwich
(9,086 posts)It's definitely been a major theme of this campaign season.

(57,349 posts)Hillary too, she attacked a member of GreenPeace and accused her of lying for Bernie.
They're losing it.

(45,319 posts)Crazy times. Of course these students should be pilloried at least, perhaps lashed for that fad has passed and it is time to put away such foolish behaviors.
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)SMH.
They weren't there for an issue or cause.
They were there to tell Hillary Clinton they hate her guts.
They're not activists, they're hecklers.
To put a bunch of college kids getting their hate on in the same category as BLM or ACT UP, GTFOH.
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)They have just as much right to protest as anyone else.
polly7
(20,582 posts)represents them? I'm not quite understanding what you're against here.

(16,966 posts)activists to those wannabes who just wanted selfies for their social media "likes". Their shout was too shallow and stupid for words, something about she wins, we lose. How pathetic. They were only 15 or 16 yo a few short years ago, but they malign Clinton with obvious spoon-fed internet memes they shared on Twitter or some social site. BLM has real life experience with tragedy in their neighborhoods. No comparison.
.
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)Given that the Bernie people were accusing BLM of being operatives for Clinton and Karl Rove when they protested Sanders and O'Malley, really an eye-roller.

geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)She didn't scream at them. She raised her voice much like Bernie Sanders does all the time.
They were jerks. Spoiled little college jerks
Comparing Hillary to Trump is nuts.

Sorry, one deception is enough for me to
be very skeptical about other events.

(68,868 posts)Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.
Paranoia is not skepticism, it's just blind faith in silly ideas.

(2,052 posts)If so please debunk the fact presented.
Paranoia is a campaign that trots out David Brock to put out misinformation that your side frequently posts on here via BNR. Posts which have been and continue to be proven false.
It's why I myself don't believe everything I read either.

(12,530 posts)We know that goats can live with temperatures from about -30F on up to 120F or so. The sun is about 10,000F at its surface. Ergo, the sun is a hotter place than a goat can survive, nevermind the fact that the sun does not have a solid surface that could be stood upon or that could support growing vegetation.
There's your proof, along with heavy inference that you used the wrong example for not being able to prove a negative.

(1,235 posts)they protested peacefully, and in a respectful manner (in that they made their point and interrupted as minimally as possible.)
If they were Bernie protesters I applaud them for the effective, imaginative, and respectfully democratic protest.
Do you simply believe that protest should be made illegal? That protest can only happen in within very restricted guidelines, approved and signed off on by the person under protest?
Why do Hillary supporters have such as disdain for freedom and democracy?
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)Very hard to debate y'all.
beedle
(1,235 posts)if someone bought protesters then that should require evidence.
If someone is protesting, peacefully and without violating anyone's rights, then I'm not sure I see 'the debate'?
The title of this thread is suppose to assume that Bernie supporters, protesting peacefully, is some kind of 'political sin' ... It's not!!
All you are doing is provoking a response, trolling, then whining about it when you get one.
That's right out of the Clinton playbook. Same BS that was tried when Bernie stood up to Hillary's interruptions, "Poor me! I was trying to interrupt him and he wouldn't let me",
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)of deflection rather than shrugging their shoulders. But they hurled abuse over it.
beedle
(1,235 posts)You presented the 'shoulder shrugging' article as though it were suppose to be a condemnation of Bernie and/or his supporters.
What did you expect? Of course some people are going to hurl abuse, that seems to be the goal you were attempting to achieve .. well done

(22,651 posts)This is a type of 'protest', I think any candidate should be prepared to receive at an open rally.
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)they weren't there to present or receive any kind of reasonable argument. their sole purpose was to express contempt

Protesting does not have 'argument' in its definition ... they are different words with different meanings.

It wasn't protesting. It was heckling.

I wonder if she caught wind, with there being s whole production/plan and was prepared to respond.
Glad to see they weren't thrown out. No violence from either side.

(24,411 posts)They barely said anything. They did their 15-second protest and they quietly filed out of there.
I see nothing wrong with protesting a political event.

(4,970 posts)Just like I don't choose not yo support Hillary by her crazy supporters. Even Albright wouldn't stop me from voting for Hillary mHer foreign policy blunders, her fracking stance, her corporatist centrist policies, her pro death penalty position, her anti single payer stance, her closeness to arms dealers, her trade position --those are just some of the reasons I don't support her. Not her supporters.
