Dan savage reminds us of Sarandon's idiocy of 2000

There was more I wanted to say. Lots more. Like this: People were saying the exact same thing—Sarandon said the exact same thing—in run up to the 2000 election. Bill Bradley (Google him) was the real Democrat and there was no difference between Gore and Bush and if Gore got the nomination instead of Bradley then everyone should vote for Ralph Nader or not vote at all because Gore and Bush were equally bad—and some were saying that George W. Bush was so awful—so obviously terrible—that Bush's election would surely bring the revolution. (Strangely... they didn't say the same thing about Gore, who was supposedly no different than Bush. They were exactly the same, no difference, but Gore's election would not bring the revolution.)

And like this: It's easy for white people with a lot of money to fantasize about what might happen if Donald Trump gets elected... because if Trump's election doesn't bring the revolution, if his election only visits misery on Mexicans, Muslims, African Americans, LGBT Americans, women who get abortions, etc., the wealthy and white can jet off to their homes in France and wait it out.

Anyway.

As for Bernie, he lost a close friend because he campaigned for the Democratic nominee in 1984.

You want to call more women 'stupid' for not supporting Clinton?

You want to burn more and more bridges that you are going to need?

Those of us that voted for Nader in 2000 did not give the US Bush. Get your facts straight and maybe you would understand why a significant portion of the unaffiliated left is being lost yet again in a national election that the Democratic Party should win easily with the right candidate.

YEAH RIGHT!

Actually, what history shows us is that often things just keep getting worse and worse, and people don't rise up at all - they get beaten down and defeated all they can do is focus on survival. Sometimes it can take generations for some societies to turn things around.

Susan is a actress. Do you think That Susan lets her support of Sanders change the way she acts in a movie? Rachel does with way she reports the news and it is worse when a news person does it.

Anyway Susan lives in CA and there is no way her one vote matters in that State. All this outrage of people not voting for Clinton only matters in a handful of states. I am surprised that most of you don't know that we use a electorate system in the US and not popular votes.

Hey, I don't hate Clint Eastwood or Bruce Willis for being republicans. I still would sing Firework by Katy Perry in my car going 60 plus on the freeway on a bright sunny day because that is what that song is all about...

They are engaged citizens. They make art, art that I like to watch or listen to or sing along with. All Susan has done is voice her opinion...which is her own. Get a grip.

It isn't like she cluster bombed and villages or toppled any regimes.

and the time spent to destroy someone to bits--just because you don't agree with their views.

Sarandon is being taken apart piece by piece.

Sarandon is a very kind person, a good mother and she has opinions. She's a decent human being.

And so are Katy Perry and Amy Poehler.

Just because someone doesn't endorse your candidate--doesn't mean they're the spawn of hell.
