Clinton campaign accuses Sanders of rejecting NY debates, says they offered three possible dates

https://twitter.com/danmericaCNN/status/716288209752338432

The new meme that will come from Clinton camp is that Sanders camp rejected debates... Damn right he did; trying to suggest one of the dates be the same night as a NCAA championship game.

Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver tells ABC: "Clinton proposal to have debate during NCAA tourney is laughable"

https://twitter.com/maryaliceparks/status/716296961268326406

Does the Clinton campaign think Americans are stupid? We want a debate when people will be watching

Edit: Here are the dates The 3 dates and times HRC offered to debate in NY: April 4th, During an NCAA tourney, April 14th evening (Tax Deadline), and April 15th in the FUCKING MORNING, ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA.

Apr 2016

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” -- Paul Joseph Goebbels

Firstly, on Walmart, she was a young lawyer and the only woman on a board of 15 men. She broke another glass ceiling. Clinton used her position to champion personal causes, like the need for more women in management and a comprehensive environmental program, as many of us say, she has been fighting for women her whole life. And you challenge her support and advocacy world wide for women and girls? Sec. Clinton launched multiple public and private sector initiatives to raise the status of girls and promote girls’ education around the world. Sec. Clinton started the TechGirls classroom exchange program to increase the number of girls entering the tech field. Under Sec. Clinton, the State Department partnered with the NGO Room to Read to support girls from South Asia who were at risk of dropping out of school. Sec. Clinton introduced the Empowering Adolescent Girls to Lead through Education (EAGLE) initiative, emphasizing leadership training and reducing barriers for girls to attend secondary school. Sec. Clinton launched the Secretary’s International Fund for Women and Girls to invest in improvements to education, health, and economic opportunities. Sec. Clinton’s State Department sponsored teacher exchange programs focused on education for girls. Sec. Clinton initiated a study with UNESCO on “education for women and girls around the world.” Sec. Clinton launched a partnership with the Abbott Fund “to invest one million dollars in the health and education” of women and girls. The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program committed $39 million to support secondary education to disadvantaged girls in Ghana and Uganda. The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation committed $10 million to improve participation in education for marginalized girls. A collaborative effort by “the MacArthur Foundation, The MasterCard Foundation, the Douglas B. Marshall Jr. Family Foundation and two anonymous donors” awarded $6 million to support secondary education initiatives.

Here is an article that talks about some of her accomplishments. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/ ... ent-213157

Kennedy said of the SCHIP program "The children’s health program wouldn’t be in existence today if we didn’t have Hillary pushing for it from the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue."

Some more things:
+the cease fire she brokered between Hamas and Israel,
+the increase that she authored to the FMLA that was rolled into the defense reauthorization of 2008.
+the coverage she got with her old enemy Lindsay Graham for National Guard reservists and retirees http://www.nbcnews.com/id/9063246/ns/po ... sDt4XldHIU
+she was on the advisory committee to President Obama that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

When she was 24, the children's defense fund sent her undercover to investigate segregation in Alabama schools.

◾Created Arkansas’s Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youth because she saw a need for educating young children. Bringing HIPPY to Arkansas enabled parents to be their child’s first teacher and prepare them for a life of learning.
◾Declared to the United Nations that “women’s rights are human rights” which at the time she said it, was a very big deal
◾Commissioner on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe

The filing deadline to submit 2015 tax returns is Monday, April 18, 2016, rather than the traditional April 15 date. Washington, D.C., will celebrate Emancipation Day on that Friday, which pushes the deadline to the following Monday for most of the nation. (Due to Patriots Day, the deadline will be Tuesday, April 19, in Maine and Massachusetts.)

Sat Apr 2, 2016, 02:54 PM
Apr 2016

Let the media choose the time that will get the most viewers. That should be the mandate.

I'd love to see the League of Women Voters brought back to be moderators, but that's me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_of_Women_Voters#Activities

The League sponsored the United States presidential election debates in 1976, 1980 and 1984.[6][7] On October 2, 1988, the LWV's 14 trustees voted unanimously to pull out of the debates, and on October 3 they issued a press release condemning the demands of the major candidates' campaigns. LWC President Nancy Neuman said that the debate format would "perpetrate a fraud on the American voter" and that the organization did not intend to "become an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public."

Sat Apr 2, 2016, 05:42 PM
Apr 2016

All those dates have pro's and cons for him. The 4th and 15th are more than likely to attract more Hillary supporters than Bernie supporters. (In both of those cases, I think the debate watchers would more than likely be Hillary supporters, since younger people are more likely to watch NCAA game and younger people do not watch Good Morning America.) And the 14th is perfectly reasonable. How many of the people complaining about that date actually planned to to their taxes for that entire night?

Let's face it, Bernie's being a chicken here, and his supporters and campaign are trying to find a rationalization.

I argued that Hillary should debate. Now I'm arguing that Bernie should debate. Let's not let them find excuses to back out.
