BREAKING: GUCIFER, The Hacker who hacked Hillary's private server is in US Custody

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3519795/Hacker-Guccifer-extradited-Romania-appears-U-S-court.html

A Romanian hacker known as 'Guccifer' who posted unofficial emails sent to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Internet was extradited from Romania and made his first court appearance in the United States on Friday.

Marcel Lehel, 44, is charged in a nine-count indictment that includes three counts of gaining unauthorized access to protected computers, the U.S. Justice Department said in a statement.

According to the indictment, Lehel 'hacked into the email and social media accounts of high-profile victims, including a family member of two former U.S. presidents, a former U.S. Cabinet member, a former member of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff and a former presidential advisor,' the statement said.

He cannot be the only hacker. He's likely just the only hacker who publicized her e-mails. (nt) w4rma Apr 2016 #1

and that he shared his findings with others in his circle, which they then poked and prodded at the server, as well. Not to mention, he was trading information. You can't do that without a little bit of advertisement.

He's been extradited as a witness, and to be questioned on with whom he shared his successful breach of her server.

No wonder Hillary has gotten quite hot under the collar in the last couple of days.

The harmless fireworks are starting to look a lot like the blasting cap that sets off a good-sized plug of C-4.

He could be, and probably was, interviewed in Europe, and if it was desired to have him here as a witness, couldn't that have been arranged without additional indictments?

Would the indictments be something that were filed long ago and must be served just because he was brought here to testify?

18 months sounds like the timeframe for a trial.

to find out with whom he shared knowledge of the server hack - because no one is going to hit a gold mine like that and not brag about it, not to mention you have to advertise to find buyers. Which, of course, leads others to mine right behind him.

"Last month, a source with Romania's DIICOT anti-organized crime and terrorism unit told Reuters that the country's top court had 'approved an 18-month temporary extradition to America for the hacker.'"

18 months? What information do the Fed's want from him?

Very interesting and the timing was always suspect to me.

I have no special insights on this. I just don't know why indictments -or- an 18 month period is necessary.

That timeline seems the sort of time it would take to pull off a trial.

Seems getting him to cooperate for reduced time there would be just as effective.

But, I don't know anything about extradition or Romanian law.

And Paul Thompson -- who is an American hero and author -- is working right here on DU to put together a comprehensive timeline for us and for history.

You can see the work in progress over in the Bernie group.

He hacked Blumenthal and other top Hillary aides' email and bragged about it.

Every time I hear a Hill supporter go on and on about how this scandal is a RW conspiracy, I always come back to this guy and his hacking. ..

Keep on clapping for the Indictment Fairy. But tell the truth while doing so please? I would say don't embarrass yourselves but that has never been an issue, or quite frankly possible.

Wow, that is strange. I thought the US was worried about Chinese hackers, and then from out of the blue, here comes some guy from Romania!!

But, this ---

including a family member of two former U.S. presidents

He must have been in Jeb's accounts, as well.
