How come that popular vote number Clinton fans use...

hasn't changed even though Bernie has won 7 of the last 8 contests? They've been throwing out the 2.5 million number for weeks. I would think that numbers changed a little bit. Unless Clinton is magic.

What was Alaska's total participation, 10,000? Those kind of numbers don't nudge the scales.

but those numbers haven't changed?

I mean she's only won two counties in all these states the last three weeks...but the number remains exactly the same?

But I guess saying 2.365 million votes doesn't roll off the tongue.

they are guestimates. And as Sanders dominates caucus states, don't be surprised. I'm trying to put pressure on Politifact for this answer. Hoping others that want to know will ask too.

Makes sense.

Makes it a little disingenuous to throw out that 2.5 million number out there.

Apr 2016

1) Most of those states had a very small turnouts.

2) Clinton also got votes in those states.

So while Bernie's overall total went up, so did Clinton's. And because they were small states, Bernie's margin of victory wasn't enough to put a big dent into Clinton's lead.

But NY could change all that in 2 weeks.
