Not quite time for disarmament. Seems like DailyKos and Skinner may have jumped the gun a bit on this one.

(30,151 posts)I guess the lovable white haired grandpa will soon have his flaws shown as Hillary's flaws have been-
Let the fireworks begin! LOL One flaw is he will be 75 in 2016. Nobody is going to vote FOR him because of that, but that will cause some people to vote against him-

(15,650 posts)He's been a gentleman. What he's been bashing is her political record and positions, not her the person. Of course authoritarians always take disagreement personally and act accordingly.
Trouble with that is, most Bernie supporters are emotionally secure and mature enough to not be authoritarian, but (and as a result) we recognize it when we see it -- which probably has something to do with why we so fervently support Bernie over Hillary.
As for fireworks, more like duds to anyone who isn't an ardent Hillary supporter -- so go ahead, Let the fireworks begin (as if they haven't been non-stop for the past month).

I'm glad she wants to be family but she is not my abuela.

(20,317 posts)She'd already lost. She agreed to stop tearing the party apart because she got the Secretary of State post (which she fucked up, of course, but that's beside the point).
Do you know what her campaign offered Sanders when they were saying he should drop out for the sake of party unity? A chance to briefly speak at the convention. An intentional, belittling insult.
This is not a unifying politician. This is a supremely arrogant person with a massive case of entitlement.
...he nominated her in December.
This endorsement came in June.
If you don't think there was an agreement before her official nomination, I have a bridge to sell you.
I mean really, you expect anyone to believe that Barrack Obama couldn't think of anyone better than his race-baiting opponent from the presidential race to get the second highest executive posting?

(86,005 posts)...not a shred of evidence there was a quid pro quo.
I'm absolutely certain you'd strongly defend against innuendo like that if it was directed at Bernie Sanders.

By the way, she did this on June 7th -- after all 50 State primaries had concluded.

(24,411 posts)Clinton can only see one thing--her "precious" Presidency that she just knows is hers.
There are no words for how unbelievably oblivious she is. However, if there were "words"to describe how oblivious she is, the description would involve about five straight minutes worth of swearing.
Truly...grotesque.

(11,992 posts)Bernie still has a chance that is not statistically insignificant, and has plenty of money. Dropping out makes no sense.
But Bernie has still been considering party unity. Please see post #29.

(35,015 posts)That's what she's doing to those of us who don't support her - she's abusing us, belittling us...her condescension is disgusting.
She is betting that our fear of Trump will make us swallow that abuse, all walk complacently to our shackles, and vote for her if she's the nominee.
NEVER GONNA HAPPEN.

(11,992 posts)...the fact is, he has largely handled Hillary with kid gloves. He has not gone after her at all on her obvious vulnerabilities regarding the emails and the clinton foundation, places where the Republicans are sure to go after her in the general. In a sense, he is deferring on this out of a sense of party unity, i.e. not wanting to be too divisive, not wanting to do the Republican's work for them, not wanting to cripple the likely nominee in the general.
But if Hillary comes after him hard, and he gets close enough to have a real shot, who knows what might happen...

We'll see who wins.

(14,255 posts)I just could not. A lot of this shit from her makes me so embarrassed to be a Democrat, now. if she wins the nomination, I will wait until Aug. 30, to vote for Alan Grayson, and then I am OUT.
