He said that Obama won the debate overall and that he particularly dominated in the middle of it.

7. Gergen does not realize how much the republican party has left him

Sure he worked for Clinton but Gergen was a republican from the start. He makes remarks about the repub party, thinking there is still some sanity and reason remaining there, but he is wrong. So, so wrong. He made a remark after the Akin rape remark that he could not see how Akin would not drop out of the race before the deadline and we all know what happened there. Gergen is completely out of touch with the current repub party and the nutjob candidates in the party and I cannot help but wonder how many more are out there like him, repubs who cling to their party but do not realize just how strange and twisted their party has become.
