UK Daily Mail: Donald Trump to reveal ‘divorce papers of Michelle and Barack Obama’, claims

respected financial pundit.

Donald Trump is to claim that he has unearthed divorce papers of Michelle Obama and the President, according to a respected financial pundit with links to the tycoon.

It is alleged that the eccentric real estate mogul will claim that the documents show the First Lady and the President were at one point in their two decades of marriage seriously considering splitting up.

Trump set the hare running on Monday by claiming that he was set to make an announcement on Wednesday that would be ‘bordering on gigantic' and that it would ‘possibly’ change the Presidential race.

i know I have. In fact, I'm living happily with my ex husband right now.

ETA: Just read the whole article and comments. It's plausible this is his big surprise:

he's basing on that Ed Klein book, which alleged they had papers drawn up in 2000 after some unsuccessful campaign, but worked things out and are still together, and obviously HAPPY.

The comments, even from the crazy RWNJs on there, are all "who cares???" "everyone goes through that" Even a guy who called him a socialist, said the same thing.

He is a ASP...Many couples argue and do think of divorce..my late husband and i had considered that. We considered. Doing it but we changed our minds...he died on me at 33 years of being married. We stayed together because the glass was more than half filled..I think our love was a lot like the Obama's. Love is not a smooth road. There are bumps.

You can imagine how they could win a huge amount of sympathy:

'This was a personal matter and I am disappointed that the Republicans have tried to make political capital out of our private lives. It is true that Michelle and I went through a difficult patch in the 1990s, but in the end our love for each other meant we worked at it. We worked through our problems and I am glad of that, because every day I think I am the luckiest man alive to have Michelle as my wife and my two beautiful children.'

Michelle - holding hands with the president. "He says things like that to me every day. How can two people as in love with us go our separate ways. When we made our vows, we meant it. We believe in the institution of marriage and there was no way we were going to let each other go."

So what if they were considering divorce!!! (How many divorces has 'The Donald' had?)

Many couples do this and if this isn't the kettle calling the pot black, I don't know what is!!!

Apparently, whatever their issues were at the time, they have gotten through them/resolved them because they are together now.

Sorry Trump, this is a transparent last ditch effort to help your rich buddy-boy out.

Moreover - suppose their marriage did go through a bad patch at one point? How does that discredit Obama as president?

If it comes to that, Donald Trump is on his third marriage.
