News From Obama Camp...

my cousin who has been working in the Chicago office for the last 2 mths says the reason the Obama camp is feeling good is all about Ohio and Wisconsin.

i have been prodding him for info for the last month but he's never been wanting to give any up but just now over txt message i told him that my ulcer is acting up and i'm having trouble sleeping at night and i needed to hear something that would make me feel better and to give me something, anything.

so here is is text copied and pasted:

Unless the campaign is really wrong about OH&WI these 2 are our aces in the hole. The confidence level in these 2 states is such that we know we just need to pull out one of the other swings and for that we feel pretty good about Nevada. We cant let up in any state tho and thats why the blitz continues otherwise we can lose it last minute like the GOP lost Indiana in 08. Hope that gets you some sleep!

So anyway, just wanted to pass that along as to where people in the field see things right now and what they are being told at least from the top.

Provided you are being honest this is right in line with the state of the race. It is more or less over, but Obama is going to make sure Romney can pull no shenanigans. This is also subtly confirmed by the campaign's statement today.

Now all of Romney's blustering makes perfect sense. It all fits.

Thank you!!!

And she was all, like, damn, son, we're just gonna hold firm in OH and WI and just hope for one of those other states, but we're all on like the defensive and shit, you know? And that's what made me feel better even though I'm like a sock-puppet and shit, and have, like, six other DU personalities, like for real?

Its your right not to believe me, but why would i post this to a bunch of people who are voting for Obama anyway? Just as a feel good anecdote? I posted something that I felt was good news when people around here are looking for good news. If the campaign genuinely feels confident about certain states then I think they have more legitimacy than outside pollsters.

I will delete it if people don't wanna hear it and if it invites a firestorm of ridicule and "troll" claims. Just know, that from the information I have..the Obama camp is very comfortable about those 2 states OH & WI. Take it fwiw.

The natives will get friendlier as time goes on. Lots of trolls during this time. They get tired of them and start assuming everyone is one.

Thanks again for your story.

There is no reason to be discussing pulling out of any state at this point. That could be discouraging and that is what the Republicans are trying to do along with false momentum.

Only the O campaign can pull from a state. And anyone in OH is not going to sit out just because of a post in DU seen by a few hundred people...

"We just need to pull out one of the other swings" (In the sense of win one of the other swings) NOT pull out OF. It goes on to say they feel good about Nevada being such a possible state. OH, WI & NV would get them over the line.

It concludes by saying "we can't let up in any state".

There's no pulling out of or conceding of any state mentioned here. The words "pull out" are there but not "pull out of" although, I can see how it could be read that way if read quickly. Probably a poor choice of wording.

We have got to run our own race, and not worry about who is behind and who is ahead of us. If we start worrying about where everybody else is, we might trip and fall.

A lot of polls were way wrong in 2008, and there were at least three polls that were so far off they had McCain winning when in fact Obama was ahead and won the state.

The thing is we don't know, we have to keep going until Nov 6th. I know, I'm doing everything in my power to make a second term for Obama a reality.

There's no reason to talk about Obama pulling out of any state now. There's no reason to give out priviledged info either.

Thanks to those who explained that what I thought was innocent reporting on CNN was suspect. The story is false momentum they'd like to push at any point via any venue.
