"SNIP............
Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.) endorsed Hillary Clinton on Sunday, after months of staying neutral in the presidential contest because of his post as the ranking Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Families in Baltimore who are hurting right now need more than the promise of a political revolution, Cummings wrote in an op-ed submitted to The Washington Post.
He added that Clinton not only understands the challenges facing Baltimore and other cities, shes laid out a clear and detailed agenda that meets those challenges head-on.
A Washington Post-University of Maryland poll released last week showed Clinton with a clear lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) in Marylands Democratic primary, but her advantage has narrowed over the past few months. She leads Sanders 55 percent to 40 percent among likely Democratic voters in the state; a Baltimore Sun poll last month showed her pulling ahead by roughly 30 percentage points.

(12,504 posts)People feel that sense of disappointment when a very important endorsement goes the other way. But to call Elijah Cummings a sell out is a pretty piss poor reaction. Omfg....look up his life's work, and take a nausea pill and get real.

(6,007 posts)It is not what people have DONE it's what they DO right now. Judas was one of the main disciples, that doesn't give him blanket coverage from everything he did. Go a little deeper than the shiny surface.
But that seems to be the whole characteristic of the Clinton campaign -- superficial.
The best example is the list of endorsements.
EVERY endorsement Hillary has gotten has been from the LEADERSHIP, from a very few people at the top who she convinced to endorse her.
For Bernie EVERY endorsement has been from the MEMBERSHIP, that is they polled the members of that organization and Bernie won.
That is quite a STARK contrast and tells you a great deal about your candidate, if you're even paying attention. Ours is supposed to be a government OF the PEOPLE, not of the oligarchs. Does that mean anything to you?

(6,007 posts)the rest of that message gives some pretty good explanation.
Do you have any reply about those issues, or just the usual deflection and non-answers?
