In place of any changes to church doctrine, the Pope insisted that the Catholic Church would never consider recognition of homosexual unions, and added that gay people should receive assistance to bring them back to normality.
The Catholic leader wrote: As for proposals to place unions between homosexual persons on the same level as marriage, there are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to Gods plan for marriage and family.
However, just hours after the report came out Bernie Sanders told MSNBC he will go to the Vatican to see the Pope.

Seems like an odd decision coming from the official gatekeeper of progressivism.

they get snarky if you call out their hypocrisy.

(1,054 posts)He seems so progressive and good on everything else. I understand him not supporting abortion but I would hope he comes around on that too because it is a serious womens health issue, and needed by women.
