2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSome Democrats ARE corporate whores.
The whining of the Language Police does nothing to change that fact. Team Windsock knows that it is intellectually bankrupt and so resorts to inventing BS outrages to distract people from the issues. What is next, we can't call people idiots, cretins, and morons because those terms used to be labels for the mentally disabled?

(11,101 posts)These are the same people that supported Joe Lieberman even after he endorsed John McCain. All that matters is that you're in the club.

(20,176 posts)I remember. Plenty of them had plenty badmouthing to say about Ned Lamont though, because how dare someone primary a "good Democrat" like Joe LIEberman. (We clearly have different criteria of what makes one a "good Democrat."
I'm just waiting for them to declare Tim Canova an enemy of the state for primarying DWS.

(14,459 posts)The Grand Ol' Perverts just used to do it better. Now the Third Way seems to think they look cool doing it.
Kids, remember...just because some other idiot did it before doesn't make it cool. Even if Tweety thought so. ESPECIALLY if Tweety thought so!

Not surprising to see you leading the BernieBro charge here given your past association with patently prejudiced speech around here.

(1,166 posts)Finished watching the live stream of the Bernie rally in Washington Square Park and then came on here to see what Bernie supporters were saying about it... only to be confronted with a whole string of faux-outrage posts by anti-Bernie people about the "corporate whore" statement and other supposed moral outrages. These kind of posts are becoming so frequent that it is actually starting to make me feel queasy, a bit sick to my stomach. I find myself sitting here, racking my brains, trying to remember one time I've seen a positive pro-Clinton post that supports one of her policies. It all just seems to be very infantile cheap shots at Bernie Sanders. Honestly, it's quite bizarre.

(20,176 posts)I don't recall what I did, but he called me a "dumbass" for it.
I shouted back "I'm not a dumbass."
He walked away saying over his shoulder "If you don't want to be called 'dumbass', then don't be a dumbass."
The same lesson applies here. If you don't want to be called a "corporate whore", then...

(814 posts)if they weren't they'd be supporting sanders, the one whose platform includes plans to alleviate the issue. i believe we can count the number of elected officials at national level who endorsed sanders on one hand.
that says something not good about the party.

(10,565 posts)is a corporate whore? Where is the line drawn-middle management? Who is a corporate whore-someone that makes over 50K? 60K? It's so like BSS to broad brush large numbers of people to fit phrases like "corporate whores" into their memes. It's just stupid.
