you shall know them by their actions. Words are for the foolish.
Clinton is, in her own words, a moderate centrist.
A "moderate centrist" is a Republican to ashamed to call themselves one in public. The are often slightly more socially liberal than your stereotypical Republican but are always willing to compromise those soft social stances for some other gain, especially fiscal policies. They hide among us openly.
Not hard to spot one. They use all the same memes as their Republican counterparts, "you just want 'free stuff' from the government" - said on this site often or "Bernie is a socialist/communist/ that will destroy and/or ruin America" - also said on this site often. They use neo-Nazi websites like Stormfront to attack a Jewish Democratic candidate for president - also done on this website.
"Moderate centrist" rationalize taking part in the overthrow of democratically elected governments by military juntas as being "legal" with no regard to if it was or not and no regard to if it was moral or ethical, even if legal.
Democrats always think of others first and they don't have $2,700 a plate events to collect millions for their SuperPACs.

That was the whole goal of the New Democrats anyway: turn the Democratic party into the kinder, gentler Republican party. It appears to have worked.

(68,868 posts)As she's the only Democrat in the race, this makes sense.
She will win the vote on Tuesday because non-Democrats don't get to play.

(8,702 posts)You lose.
You can call yourself a 'Democrat' but actions matter more. Being a moderate centrist does not make you a Democrat.

(68,868 posts)It is not your place to judge whether I or anyone else is a Democrat.
The Democrat will win on Tuesday. Yes she will.

(8,702 posts)It's not about being a 'Democrat' it's about who we are, what we believe in and our Democratic Party planks.
It not about being "pure" it's about what you believe and what you do.
