A non-candidate specific post. I just confirmed that I am the only Dem in the office at my new job

People are very nice and I like my job tremendously, so this isn't anything horrifying but more of an anecdotal observation.

With the NY primaries here and me working in Western NY the normally taboo subject of talking politics at work has fallen by the way side. And everyone else in the office is voting the Republican side. Every single one (Should highlight that there are a dozen or so people in the office. Most of our workers are in the field, where it is a different story.).

My last hope was a mature woman, but, just now, she told me with all seriousness that she wants to see a Trump/Cruz ticket, as it is the only way to stop Hillary. That, that would be an insane ticket.

Let's just say that the past few days has renewed my appreciation of DU, even us denizens of GDP. Meanwhile, at work I'll just look forward to April 20. And once again reiterate that if Hillary doesn't win the nomination, Bernie, my second choice, is an order of magnitude better than a Trump/Cruz ticket. Good lord.

It's why Clinton gets trounced by Kasich in the matchups while Bernie doesn't.

Most of the discussions, when it comes to the Democratic side, have been on how to stop Clinton.

Workers in the field are solidly Democratic and there are many very entertaining discussions out there on the merits of Clinton versus Sanders. I'd introduce my own personal biases if I tried to break down who has more support, but Sanders does come up frequently out there.

I even heard one of my coworkers state that Obama is a Muslim just a few days ago. I had always considered this man to be intelligent, but not so much now.

I don't argue politics at work. It's just not worth the hassle when it won't change minds. I have noticed, however, that when they have a serious question about what is going on, they come and ask me about it. Then we can have a discussion on the issues.
