Nobody should be apologizing for using the word "Whores"

It is about time people told those stuck up puritan prudes where to stick their sexual morality. I am a proud whore, and ain't no shaming gonna tear me down. It is ridiculous to be ashamed of having a healthy sex life.

Everybody knows that the word word does not have to have a sexual component. In the broader sense,

6. Men and whites cannot "reclaim" racist or sexist slurs

for themselves because they have never been discriminated against with use of those words. Nor can they, in good conscience, use the slurs against PoC or women and claim they have redefined the original meaning.

You have obviously not heard the vitriol spewed at gay men being sex craved deviants who have unabashed sex with anything with a pulse. We are so sex craved that even straight men are at risk. You might want to look up some Pat Robertson videos for starters and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

And then look at professional sports and the hoopla about someone coming out the closet. All of it is stemming from the belief that if a naked male body is in front of us we lose all control and will creep out other players. SO I have nothing to think about on this issue.

8. Then I would expect you to be sensitive

to slurs that are traditionally used against specific minority groups. Whore is a nearly universal term to describe women without morality. That is why it is the first definition.

An analogous situation, for you, would be one in which your political opponent used the phrase "crazed deviant" to describe your character and policies. Hard to imagine you or the gay community being ok with that. I would not be ok with that and would consider it a "dog whistle" to homophobes. You are seeing a similar reaction to the word, "whore" from women.

Please understand that for many women, this is a huge slur,no matter what qualifiers are attached. I know you, as a gay man, have been subject to ridicule and discrimination. It is absolutely the responsibility of everyone to be sensitive to the oppression of others. I truly hope you will think about this. We are all connected.
