Watch: Huge Bernie Sanders Rally in Greenwich Village Draws Record Crowd
Estimates are that an overflow crowd of 27,000 showed up for Sanders' speech in Washington Square Park.

By Alexandra Rosenmann / AlterNet April 13, 2016

Bernie Sanders hosted a rally called "A Future to Believe In" in Washington Square Park, New York, on Wednesday night. He was joined by special guests Vampire Weekend and Dirty Projectors, Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, Shailene Woodley, Linda Sarsour, Tim Robbins and Graham Nash.

Sanders' organizers said the rally drew 27,000 participants, more even than the 20,000 throng Barack Obama drew in 2007.

Maybe it's partly the spectacular backdrop or the fact that Bernie grew up in Brooklyn, but they seem to take his astonishing campaign to a new level.
