I wish I'd see as much professed distress and outrage over seniors being unable to buy medicine

and people having to file bankruptcy because of crippling medical bills (even if they have insurance)

as I do over the use of a term.

I'm glad there's outrage over HB2, but our GOP has passed legislation that directly leads to the death of the uninsured and the hunger of children, and no one thought that worthy of massive national outrage.

History will record the Clinton's campaign success at clogging up a forum on DU with bullshit while Sanders snuck up and won New York, where 99% of everyone has no problem with calling politicians who take campaign money payoffs to serve corporate interests at the public expense "corporate whores."

omg someone said corporate whore! That's total bullshit.

Every day, they will have their message attacking anything Sanders did, for any available reason. If the only word they heard was "flowers" they'd say the same things: violence, brutishness, sexism, racism, etc. You saw the guy who now calls Sanders supporters Nazis? It's just a list of charged negative codewords they recite every day without fail. Pure Rovian Ratfucking 101.

But the real problem, still, unfortunately, is this very common response: "Who is Bernie Sanders?"

Nice fundraising and mobilization by the campaign and its supporters, but it's hard to compete against all the noise of 24/7 media distractions of all kinds, and 25 years of name recognition.

This board is a yak-yak bubble of a vanishingly small group.

The only way we'll get a Republican if is Hillary gets the nomination. Polls have been showing this for months. Don't pretend it's not true.

that we are forced to make billionaire exploitive health insurance companies richer.

ACA was a republican plan written by the insurance industry to force people to buy their product.

People are still going broke just to live while the billionaires hoard the wealth the people have created.

And "Corporate Whore" is not one of them. Well, actually the use of the term, no, but the existence of corporate whores?? Yes, THAT is the true outrage.

There are many Democrats who have never met a national Democrat they liked except for the Clintons. I suspect this would be Reagan Democrats who came back to vote for Clinton because Bill campaigned against those Liberals in Congress. The Clintons are as worshipful to Conservative Dixiecrats as Reagan is to Conservative Republicans.

I tried talking to bartcop about that once. I pointed out to him in the middle of the general election in 2004 that for the previous two weeks, he had posted more Kerry criticism than Bush criticism each and every day. He just denied it even though the posts were there for anyone to count. And never changed his way.
