Does it matter if Bernie is worth 300k or 800k most of it because of the value of his house

He raised 4 kids, not cheap.

Because he owns (free and clear) real estate that he bought with his salary doesn't mean anything.

The real question is how did the Nancy Pelosi family make tens of millions while in office? How did Diane Feinstien family earn tens of millions while in office? How did the Clinton Family make over 2 billion with the clinton foundation over the last 15 years?

Bernie owns a house, Most other corporate democrats own mansions, and shell corporations.

I am just not going to get worked up over it.

But if Sanders is going to call for her transcripts to be released than he should release his taxes.

Calling for transparency when you refuse to be transparent is hypocrisy.

Since she had not even decided to make another presidential run at the time she is under no legal, moral or ethical obligation to release what is clearly her own intellectual property.

If he doesn't do so, it is at his own peril. The logic is that no one has ever before in the history of presidential politics, released private speech transcripts, and for some reason the woman in the race is always held to a higher standard.

Look, you know this just goes back and forth. Either you're a fan of transparency or not. You know she's hiding something and you just want to defend your candidate. It's a shame you have to twist yourself up like that and be hypocritical in order to do so.

property. Why would any organization pay for a speech they can read online for free? I think it comes down to trust more than transparency. I realize that most Sanders supporters have bought into the repubs 'dishonest' label they've been cultivating for 20+ years, but time and time again, Hillary has shown that she works for the betterment of the lower and middle classes and the disadvantage. In our society, one of the best ways to help the underclasses is from a position of power - which includes money.

I don't think that anything she said in a speech is going to sway her actions as president. That is where we differ. For the record, I don't really care about Sanders taxes - except that for his image it is a no win situation, so might be useful in ending this darn primary sooner rather than later.

Their outreach is targeted to that demographic; those who can't understand policy, but do understand that "million" is a lot and "whore" is mean.

Houses were much cheaper in the 80's is that shocking to anyone?

The majority of Bernie's net worth is tied up in real estate that he owns free and clear.
Is it scandalous to you, that he bought a houses in vermont decades ago for probably next to nothing, and that it has appreciated nicely in price?

Here is a good explanation of the net worth of the members of Congress:

Notice, even the upper number that Hillary supporters give Sanders net worth, is $10 million lower than the average Senator.

I knew the Hillary shills would jump in on it.

Hillary described herself and Bill as dead broke when they were worth more money than Bernie is now.
