Heads up for NY democratic primary voters ...

... I've just read today that many counties will be cutting their voting hours by six hours.

Many counties that normally would vote from 6am-9pm will now only be open from noon-9pm.

My understanding is that this will include almost everything outside of New York City and the surrounding suburbs.

You can contact the New York State Board of Election @ (518) 474-6336 for more information.

Everyone should have the right to vote!

I almost always vote on my way to work. This is bullshit and disenfranchises voters who may not be able to vote later. It's certainly inconvenient as f***.

... but, I first saw this from a NY blogger who says this is definitely a CHANGE from past primaries.

He claims that polls traditionally open at 6am in all counties for all elections.
