Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton maintains a double-digit lead over rival Bernie Sanders in New York as both candidates aggressively campaign around the state ahead of Tuesdays primary, a NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll has found.
Clinton had the support of 57 percent of likely Democratic voters in the poll released Thursday, while Sanders held 40 percent. Those numbers mirror a NBCNews/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll released Monday, in which Clinton was supported by more than half of the respondents and had a 14-point lead over the U.S. senator from Vermont.

(1,511 posts)I usually cross check them with 538
http://fivethirtyeight.com/interactives/pollster-ratings/
They are a bit more republican leaning which can skew towards Hillary, but a B+ is not bad.
I should add the one that was more positive for Bernie has a higher rating, and is less biased, but still a bit red in Hillary's favor.

(99,710 posts)1) It's a statistical bias which is different than an intentional bias.
2) Almost every poll has a bias.
3) B+ is good. As an editorial point I wish I was a B + student
4) Lee Miringoff, PHD, director for the Marist poll, is the former president of the National Council of Public Polls and is one of the leaders in the field.

(1,511 posts)I just can't the poll. Real Clear has been good at posting them at times, but many like Reuters and such never make it on there.
DemocratSinceBirth
(99,710 posts)That's why they don't include Reuters.

(1,511 posts)I am annoyed that 538 ignores them since it would be nice to compare their methodology. But that still does not help me with Wall Street trying to get me to join, I get annoyed every time they publish behind the wall.

What has Bernie actually done for the working class?
Made it easier for a right wing nutcase to slaughter us with assault weapons is the only thing I can think of.
Thanks Bernie!

(1,701 posts)If being a public official is somehow reprehensible, I'd like to hear your plan for running the country without a government. All sorts of people work for the government in one way or another, and that used to be considered admirable.
If you despise most politicians because you think they are corrupt, you should support Bernie. He will fight the corruption; I doubt that Hillary will tackle it in a serious way.
