2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe things Sanders supporters say about other Democrats, including Obama
So heard last night that they regard Hillary and some members of Congress as Corporate Whores.
And you know, some of his surrogates don't think much about Obama, either.
Maybe on the debate tonight, Sanders will be asked about the company he keeps and the people he chooses to have introduce him.
Here's a sampling of some of their remarks about a certain other prominent democrat.
Harry Belafonte on Obama:
"When he said, 'Yes, we can,' it may have been politically clever," Belafonte continued. "He never defined for us what he said ... So those of us who felt that we needed change filled in that space with our own images of what we thought he meant only to find out we are all disappointed because none of those things have been satisfied."
'HIS MISSION HAS FAILED'
Cornell West on Obama
"A niggerized black person is a black person who is afraid and scared and intimidated when it comes to putting a spotlight on white supremacy and fighting against white supremacy," West explained. "So when many of us said we have to fight against racism, what were we told? 'No, he can't deal with racism because he has other issues, political calculations. He's the president of all America, not just black America.' We know he's president of all America but white supremacy is American as cherry pie."
"The First Black President Has Become The First Niggerized Black President"
Ta-Nehisi Coates on Obama
Fear of a Black President
So Bernie, do you agree with your supporter, Cornell West, that Obama is .... I can't even say the word and your supporter Dr. Song, that Hillary is a ....?
If not why do you continually have such people introduce you at your rallies?

(45,319 posts)Now some of the Sanders folks on this board are ready to trash the entire democratic party
See, I was right when I said a couple of weeks ago that Sanders is attempting a hostile takeover of the party.
His true colors are shining through and so are the colors of many of his supporters

Bernie Sanderss supporters ignore what we learned from Obama
Poor Bernie and his gang. The Media is onto him and his supporters. Can hardly find anybody to say anything nice about him anymore.

(30,099 posts)I have found it telling how many Democrats who not only disagreed
with Obama but did so in print and not with what I would describe
as a measured tone when doing so.
Funny how those are not ever mentioned in these hit OP's.

(1,511 posts)So do you think all black people should never say anything bad about Obama? Are they not allowed to? I know plenty of black people that had an issue on how timid he was on many things. I know many times I heard many black people frustrated by the lack of a voice they were getting from a black president. And now you want a white man to tell his black supporters to toe the line?
As for Cornell, you know what he says is not tied by normal rules of the English language. But I have no right what to tell a outspoken well known person like him on word usage.

(15,189 posts)And keep communication with Blumenthal after being told NOT to do that. Still using her Blackberry after being told NOT to do that. Setting up her own unsecured e-mail server in her basement after being told NOT to do that. Big deal calling Dems corporate whores. And Cornell West is a loon. Bernie should drop him. Hillary is going to taint Obama's legacy. Words are words, her actions were dangerous.
