Did anybody catch that racist bomb Chris Cuomo just dropped on CNN?

He was talking about Ron Brownstein (one of the 6 talking heads around him) being at the Bernie Sanders rally last night, saying he was in a hoodie and "I thought he was there to make a buy!" The whole panel was yucking it up.

1. Washington Square has always been good for dime bags of skunk....

Are they even dimes anymore, what with inflation?

I don't partake, but in the day they were nickle bags and dime bags.

Some good stinkweed would cost you a dime.

2. Wrong - it's because most EVERYONE knows Wash Square is where you 'buy'

if you're looking for a joint or two and people put their hoods up so they won't be recognized. That's a New York joke, not a racist one.

I could be stereotyping that people in hoodies all want to buy drugs, but the Ron I know is white. So he could just claim it is the dress code he was talking about unless you can say he was thinking all people in outfits like that are of a certain race. I think you are reaching on this one. It shows a jerk out of touch with reality, most likely the guy that crosses the street at the sight of young kids, but racist not based on his wording.

P.S. Doesn't the guy from "High Times" (the web-series) wear a jacket around NYC when he is out on his bike?

5. I think his intent was to make it a stoner reference

If so, that's at least the 3rd time I've seen if from the press when talking about Sanders rallies, across different networks. But to me when you bring up hoodies as a stereotype, you're talking about hip hop culture.

But even if he likely thinks something more nefarious, I am sure he knows how to talk in code.

8. It's been a recurring theme for the MSM, tying in with Hillary's campaign

Hillary says she feels sorry for young people who believe what they're told without doing any research. The MSM drops in stoner references about Bernie's rallies (though I think referencing a hoodie is a clumsy way to do that) to trivialize young voters who are just looking for a party and a place to get high because they haven't grown up yet. I remember all the bullshit that was thrown around by the press about the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators.

While I was picking up dime bags in WSP in the 80's, they were allowing planes to land in Arkansas with tons of blow.

... which to some might appear racist itself. Everyone wears hoodies and white people buy drugs too, and I don't think there's any racial implication whatsoever.
