(7,577 posts)her voice is soft and mellow..and just maybe you should try sorting out bernie's lies from any truths he might have got in. I find myself having fits of laughter when Bernie "speaks."

(1,603 posts)I seriously think the Republicans could just run campaign ads of her yelling to convince people not to vote for her.

subconsciously New Yorkers are going to hear Sanders as a familiar voice

(27,787 posts)The sports history between Philly and NY alone prevents it.
The Old Lie
(123 posts)Pennsylvania's opinion on fracking has really changed in the past 8 years.
JoePhilly
(27,787 posts)... you don't know PA.
I'm no fan of fracking, but Philly and Pitt are not where the fracking would even take place. It barely registers in those areas.
The rural parts of PA are now trying to decide if they like it, or not. But that has not settled out.
And finally ... the people in Philly and Pitt are not making this their TOP issue for the primaries.

(1,182 posts)At times when she simply speaks into the mic and trusts it to do the amplifying she actually sounds good. She could really use a voice coach.
I'll bet her throat is killing her in the evenings. It might even be a legitimate reason she tends to select smaller venues. Yeah, I know she can't bring crowds like Bernie's, but she could still fill up larger venues than she has been.
So far 100% of her claims about Sanders' past are wildly distorted or just total bullshit.

(91 posts)She has never had a very high likability quotient. She is very skilled technically and policy wise, but she comes across like she is made of brass. Or has a tin ear for political language. I respect her experience, but my feeling is that she is such a shrill campaigner, I would worry about her losing in the general election. She is a cautious triangulator who does not have any natural rhetorical skill. Bernie has clear principles and is consistent in his language and approach. I am tired of establishment politics, which is one reason I support Sanders.

(13,776 posts)I agree with you that she is very experienced and smart and skilled, and I also agree with you that Bernie is consistent--it's my favorite thing about him, the way that he has always been so devoted to equality and justice.
Anyway, welcome!

(60,212 posts)As I said in another thread, she sounds like she's annoyed at having to explain basic stuff to morons.
I wonder how many multisyllabic words she uses in an average speech.

(1,113 posts)I can't believe they haven't helped her fix that defect.
Voices convey so much more than the words and their relative meaning. They convey our inner beings on deep levels our subconscious perceives.
She's too loud and brash to be taken as sincere.
