Sanders will end up in some Republican ads supporting their argument, which is absolutely fine with me since he's not my candidate. I was just pointing up what the end result of his comments will be.

Pope Sanders made a comment that gave Republican ammunition. Had Hillary Clinton answered the question the same way as Sanders, I'd say you'd be reacting very differently right now.

He has the right and duty to oppose any nomination he doesn't think it the right one.
Obama isn't king and if he nominated someone that was REALLY a Democrat then there would be no problem.

The bottom line is that Obama should not withdraw his nominee because Republicans say so or because Bernie Sanders demands it. But, whatever you want to believe, I'm not going to argue with you.

I disagree with their obstruction, but in this case it has the benefit of possibly keeping Garland off the bench. Honestly Garland is a horrible choice by any liberal or progressive standard.

The question was if the guy wasn't nominated, not that they shouldn't nominate him till a new president. I'm sure Bernie would agree that Obama should be the one to fill that seat. But if he doesn't was the question.

It is his duty to do so if he doesn't think the nomination is the best one.

This is the United States of America where not only we as citizens, but our elected officials have the right and duty to disagree with the President.

I wasn't aware this country was run by a King and we couldn't object to the President's nomination.

You may not like it, but boo hoo too bad for you.

Thank God there are people who still speak truth to power in this country.

Using your logic, since Justice Ginsburg like Justice Scalia, he must have met your approval. I don't think you know much if anything about Garland.

cowardly.. Garland is a favorite of the right... he was suggested by them before this political grandstand they concocted after scalia died. He is not a Progressive jurist by any means ... I have lived through a conservative corporate court my whole life... and I think it is seriously important for us to make a stand and change the leaning of the court

They probably would have confirmed him by now if Bernie had not threatened them with a genuinely liberal nomination if he wins the GE.

President the Republican Senate will vote with both hands in support of Obama's appointment.

They don't want an authentic liberal on the court.

All Sanders had to say is Garland deserves a hearing. The repugs have already signaled that Garland is not conservative enough for them.
