Not Quite the 1 Percent: Sanders Releases ‘Boring’ Tax Returns

The release quickly followed Thursday's Democratic presidential debate.

Bernie Sanders made good on his promise to release his full 2014 tax returns Friday, after sparring with Hillary Clinton over transparency during Thursday night’s Democratic primary debate.

The Vermont senator’s tax form, which he says was filed by his wife, Jane, showed an income of $205,271. The majority of the income came from Sanders’ $174,000 Senate salary and the Social Security benefits that both he and his wife receive.

They were imagining all sorts of stuff. Looks like they'll need something else to be outraged about. I'm sure it won't take long though.

It was just meant to contribute to a constant barrage of negative and unending spin to try to lower his favorability numbers and distract us from her very real scandals. They already have more unsubstantiated shit to stir lined up to continue every single day in order to keep this process going.

It is a deliberate Brock tactic and perhaps those few actually totally drunk on the kool-aid may have actually believed there was something, and may be disheartened, but the paid PAC “digital media specialists” have provided many "Brock Socks" to keep the bullshit rolling across all forms of internet media and social networks going on and on and on, with one false smear campaign after another.

4. Oh they already started, donating thousands to charity means he's cheap!

It's only ____ of his income, this after weeks of claiming he didn't donate at all and that's why he was "hiding" his returns. And they're upset because they don't know which charities he donated to. Because ZOMG what could they be?

Seems some of the memes are getting really silly. There are cases where I think it is a joke/sarcasm until I keep reading down the sub-thread.

6. Remember when they finally found out which kibbutz he visited in Israel?

How they went on and on about it being a socialist kibbutz until they found out the truth. Then they switched it to a "Stalinist" kibbutz to make it even more sinister. It's like watching bad street theater.

The next false meme and scandal will be out before the weekend is up, it is likely already in the cue.

I'm sure Brock has poured over Bernie's financial disclosures and came up with zilch so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with now that the returns are out.

I wonder if he'll go after Jane?
