Bill Clinton Sticks Up For The South While Ripping Bernie Sanders

Bill Clinton let his Southern roots show as he appeared to take great offense to Bernie Sanders minimizing the votes of Southern Democrats who supported his wife’s presidential campaign.

Video:

While campaigning for his wife in the Bronx, Bill Clinton said, “About the only thing that disappointed me about the debate last night was the sneering reference that her opponent made to the mammoth victory she won in the South. Oh, it’s just the South. We know how conservative they are. Well excuse me, but Democrats need to win Florida and North Carolina not only to get elected, but they are states of the future — highly diverse. And she won a big victory there. She won in Mississippi partly because they have a major in Jacksonville, an African-American guy who is the embodiment of the future who helped her. She won in Alabama, 93% of the African-American vote and a majority of the white vote because when she was a young woman, this is one reason, she went to Alabama for the Children’s Defense Fund to help shut down private segregated academies that were pretending to be public schools. It took a lot of guts to go in and pose a racist mother who wanted her kid at an all white school to prove that they were ripping off the taxpayers and violating the law.”

Former President Clinton was reacting to Sen. Sanders downplaying the South during the CNN debate, “Secretary Clinton cleaned our clock in the Deep South. No question about it. We got murdered there. That is the most conservative part of this great country. That’s the fact. But you know what? We’re out of the Deep South now. And we’re moving up. We got here. We’re going to California. We got a number of large states there. And having won seven out of the last eight caucuses and primaries.” .........................

Ha ha...This tweet is in reference to the time Bernie was in and interview and was asked for more details for his proposals--Like HOW will he implement is wild plans, given he make- up of the Congress. Bernie said something about McConnell looking out his windows from his congressional office and see all the protesters.--you know--his political revolution--that was going to scare McConnell to pass his agenda.

@siliconvalleyex @veggie64_leslie @alaskawater The "people will stand outside their windows & force congress to vote" theory? Great plan

The latest national poll has Bernie beating Trump 91-3 with blacks, while Hillary only beats Trump 89-5 with blacks.

I know I am going to sound like a broken record, but I am puzzled why nobody has asked Bernie Sanders about his caucus wins in states that are not in the “Deep South,” but which are almost 100% guaranteed to vote Republican during the General elections. Here are the state caucuses (not even primaries) that Bernie won that have not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964: Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming. Here are Southern States that Hillary won that have been won by Democratic presidential Candidates since 1964: Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. As a matter of fact, in 2008, President Obama won three Southern States: Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. He also came very close to winning Georgia. Yet, he lost miserably in Idaho, Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming–the states that Bernie sanders is so proud to have won in caucuses. Even if Bernie was the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, there is ZERO chance that he would win the Republican stronghold states of Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming. And now that he has dissed and dismissed Black voters in Southern states, there is Zero chance that he would win Florida, Virginia, or North Carolina. Without winning at least one of those states, Bernie has ZERO chance of winning the presidency!

Thank you for this, rivers!

He's at the very top of my shit list this morning for his remarks about Bernie supporters wanting to shoot every third person on Wall Street. The man is a disgrace with a mouth that babbles almost as badly as Trump. I'm looking forward to his upcoming public shaming rerun.
