What is so controversial about an economy based on morality and not greed?

I think Pope Francis and Bernie Sanders discussed something very important which is being distracted by trivial side issues.

Are Sanders and the Pope correct that economies should be moral and help people? How do the people on the opposite side of this think economies should work?

I would also think any true Democrat would support this wholeheartedly. Heck, even any moral Republican should agree with this.

Sadly, Clinton is more important than the values Democrats have traditionally held.

"Greed is good" has been the daily gruel for America since the Reagan years. Entire think tanks and political careers based on sending messages of "Cadillac-driving welfare queens" and bootstrap-billionaires have convinced America that being poor is sinful, and greed is the motivator for all progress.

Except among those who benefit enormously from the unfair economy we have now (such as Bernie's opponent).
