Sometimes I think Hillary and the rest of the DNC play the Good Cop on us

I really feel like the Clintons and the DNC set us up so that we vote against our best interests.

For those that don't know, the "Good cop/Bad Cop" routine is a psychological tactic used in negotiation and interrogation. It involves a team of two interrogators who take apparently opposing approaches to the subject. The "Bad Cop" takes an aggressive, negative stance towards the subject, making blatant accusations, derogatory comments, threats, and in general creating antipathy between the subject and himself. This sets the stage for the Good Cop to act sympathetically, appearing supportive and understanding, and in general showing sympathy for the subject. The Good Cop will also defend the subject from the Bad Cop. The subject may feel they can cooperate with the Good Cop either out of trust or out of fear of the Bad Cop. They may then seek protection by and trust the Good Cop and provide the information the interrogators are seeking.

How is this relevant? We have the Republicans who play the "Bad Cop" against us. We detest them so strongly that we support what the Good Cop (Big Business Democrats) do. We never consider that the Republicans and the Big Business Democrats take their money from the same masters. The Good Cop has more success in getting us to go against our best interests.

Interestingly, the Good Cop/Bad Cop roles are reversed for Republicans.

The good cop / bad cop routine is just a bonus. I think of the GOP batshit crazy train as more of the rodeo clown distracting people and moving them to the right. HRC uses it a ALL THE TIME to appear the "sane" and "moderate" choice.

The primary season - with the party rules - are effectively filters to weed out anyone w/o enough money to run. Those that do run are usually bought by corporations/wallstreet, or are million/billionairs themselves. Just what they want: people who are tied or already part of the power structure and support them. Not the people.

Except this time. One got thru because
a) the presidential race has lots of "free" media
b) they didn't realize the depth of disgust and the how many people were fed up
c) the internet and the number of people who can see the lies and donate easily


I think trump is a surprise too and hits "a" and "b" - but he's still part of the power structure, and his message is exclusion and hate.

They are rival "teams" for the perks of power.

One is slightly nicer on social issues.

But both of them ultimately answer to the Wealthy and Powerful. Both are Corporate Tools in their present forms.
