Seems to me it's pretty obvious it's a campaign expense. If he weren't campaigning, he could have taken a more leisurely trip. Chartering a plane was necessary to enable him to attend the debate, attend the conference, and get back on the campaign trail.

Just because a stop in Rome isn't a "campaign stop" per se, the travel to and from is.

Just like travel from a campaign event back home and back out on the trail would be. Your home isn't a campaign stop either.

On edit: You can't tell me that the FEC would demand that he make no plans other than to go from one campaign event to another. That would be absurd.

What is kinda funny is that there literally is nothing that can be said about Bernie that could get me to support a warmongering Third Wayer. So they are wasting their time, really.

The plane was going there anyway, I'm glad he was able to take them along and let his kids and grandkids share in an experience that they will aways remember.

Better that we paid for the trip than Chris Ruddy of NewsMax, James Murdoch of Fox, Goldman Sachs, Verizon, the government of Saudi Arabia and the other contributors to the Clintons and/or the Clinton Foundation.

I'm happy we have a candidate that is a natural fit for the subjects addressed at the gathering. Shows his head and heart are where they should be for the office he's running for!

He had the press and the Secret Service traveling with him. No way he should pick up that bill personally. It should be a campaign expense.

He will have a higher salary as President, so he will be able to pay that card down.
