Her followers don't seem to care about her just brazenly lying like this, and doing it so repetitively.

Hey, she says she was always for that $15 an hour - her latest blatant lie.
Her lies over Honduras that DemocracyNow.org exposed her for last week just put a fork in her for me. I will not vote for that woman. Too much blood on her hands. I believe she is a guaranteed war in Iran and more blood of innocents by their countries being destabilized all over the world if she gets in.

(8,352 posts)lying if it will bolster their persona and make them look a particular way.
In this case, it was likely an attempt at stolen valor. She wanted to look tough. Instead she just looked like yet another asshole caught in a big lie who simply wouldn't apologize. She figured we would all forget it and move on to more important things like her coronation.
I will never forgive that lie.

(6,409 posts)I have seen this behavior from candidates at various levels. Claiming college degrees they don't have is very common. Inflating small accomplishments into magnificent achievements is almost a requirement. We make a big deal of it when it involves the military, questions of combat, etc. I'm not sure why.
