Something Is Going Seriously Wrong with New York Voter Registrations

New York’s Democratic primary is starting to look an awful lot like the Arizona primary.

Hundreds of voters, most of them registered with the Democratic Party, are filing a class-action lawsuit against the New York State Board of Elections on Monday morning, claiming their voter registration was changed to “independent” or “no affiliation” without their consent.

In closed primary states like New York, voters who are not registered as Democrats or Republicans can’t vote in those primaries. Voters identifying as independents wishing to vote in the Democratic primary had to change their registration to Democrat by October of 2015 — the earliest registration deadline in the country.

This is almost exactly what happened in Arizona, when voters who had been eager to vote in the Democratic primary learned upon arrival to their designated polling place that their registration had been changed, making them ineligible to vote. In conducting their own investigation of what exactly happened in Arizona, hacktivist collective Anonymous discovered that Arizona kept voter information on an SQL database, which is so easy to hack a 3-year-old can do it. In fact, a white hat hacker discovered a database of 191 million voter registrations last year, which may mean that other, more nefarious hackers have accessed that information as well.

a very emphatic yes.

IOW, this is not new. It may be more blatant and larger scale but not new.

In the Presidential election of 2000, Democrats cried foul. Fair enough.

In the Presidential of 2004, they also cried foul. Fair enough?

In any event, a Party that believed it had had the WH stolen from it twice in a row would have done what in 2007, when they took back both houses of Congress?

Have Waxman hold hearings, which hearings proved elections were easy to steal? Yes! That's exactly what Dems did!

And right after they established elections were easy to steal, they got very busy doing absolutely nothing about it.

Registrations would have to be changed by staff in the offices of county clerks, which suggests quite a lot of collusion that really is conspiracy level crazy. Besides that, how would they know which registrations to change? Registration closed months ago before anyone thought New York would even be a race. Unless there were psychics involved in this scheme, it would be hard to predict which voters were going to vote in the primary and how they were going to vote.

No one knows for sure what's causing these problems, but those who want to get to the bottom of it are Bernie supporters and those who sneer and say "move along, nothing to see here" are HRC supporters.

In the larger world outside DU, it's the Dems who care about voter suppression and the Republicans who don't want us to examine it.

This is very interesting ...

There is a class-action lawsuit about it. So it clearly makes sense to imply that dark forces are at work.

Out of millions of registered voters, a few hundred are experiencing problems. It happens every single election. It's inevitable.
