<...>
In comments to ThinkProgress, New York state Board of Elections spokesperson Thomas Connolly confirmed that he had been receiving regular complaints about allegedly manipulated voter registrations specifically complaints that party affiliations had been purged.
But Connolly also said that each complaint hes followed up on has been due to a mistake on the voters part.
Ive yet to come across a voter registration thats been maliciously changed, he said. Theres always been a legitimate reason.
The allegations of willful voter registration manipulations in New York are coming most loudly from Sanders supporters. Allegations of fraud have been widespread on the Sanders for President Reddit page, where voters have been posting personal stories of sketchy dealings with their local board of elections.

Reading comprehension appears to be an issue here.

(47,209 posts)it goes to the DNC and the state. I know people here would rather rip down the party than build it, but tough shit.

(47,209 posts)already. Then a certain large amount goes to the DNC, then the states. With those expensive tickets, the states get money on every single one sold. The DNC can use that money in the general.
I'd like us to win a majority in November, any way we can. I'd like to have support for either candidates agenda in congress, and replace a couple judges on the USSC- because THAT will help all Dems.

(47,209 posts)so I think we have to actually support more than three candidates. Supporting three candidates is self defeating.

Sketchy stories. No details. Omnipotent clerks who magically change ONLY the registrations of Bernie fans.
What amazing abilities these clerks have!! HOW DO THEY KNOW? HOW DO THEY DO IT!??

Not only do we have to listen to bogus whining after an election, now it's pre-election.

(42,862 posts)... which is a common problem (apparently) among many registered voters who've never actually bothered to vote.
It's not like they're first-time voters, or new-to-the-area voters, or that the polling places have been consolidated and moved ... they JUST DON'T KNOW where to go.
Which, in my opinion, is very odd for a group of individual who'd have us believe that they're active and engaged. (Maybe they were talking about social media and online polls. Who knows?)

(42,862 posts)I'm convinced that there are a great number of individuals who changed their party affiliation in a big huff ... Oh, you know the type... the ones who like to say things like "I didn't leave the party, the party left ME". They were so obsessed with doling out retribution, all they could think of was that they'd "teach the party a lesson".
Well ... looks like the people in that situation (however many or few there are) are the ones who are actually learning a lesson about why it's important to be a member of the party. (Especially if you want to have a say in party direction and nominees.)
But, some people may be happy with their choice. I'm sure there's a great sense of PRIDE that some of them have in being able to proclaim that they're "independent". Good for them.
