Why Didn't Hillary Steal the Election From Obama?

His pledged delegate lead was quite small. Changing a few registrations here and there would have been simple for the Clinton machine. Super delegates could have been bribed just like they're being bribed now.

Was she just being lazy last time or what?

If you go back and look at videos of her statements before Obama became a real threat to her, you can see that she didn't even consider the possibility of losing. The last time she'd been on the losing side of an election was in 1980 when Bill lost a re-election race as governor. So it was 28 years since the Clinton machine failed to pull out a victory.

This time around, the failure is a lot more recent and more personal so she couldn't but take it into account.

And what I said about her not considering the possibility of losing comes right out of her own mouth.

This November 2007 interview with Katie Couric was extremely memorable.

Go to timestamp 4:21

COURIC: If it's not you, how disappointed will you be?

CLINTON: Well, it will be me, but of course I'm ready to support the Democratic nominee whoever it is.... I'm very confident that I will be the nominee...

COURIC (pressing the issue): I know that you're confident that it's going to be you, but there is a possibility it won't be. And clearly, you have considered that possibility.

CLINTON: No I haven't. ...

COURIC (pressing further on the evasive non-answer): So you never even consider the possibility?

CLINTON: I don't.

No one is changing registrations now. And fewer Independents were trying to mess with the party.

She still tried to steal it, used Race as a divisive campaign tactic, broke election laws in several states, including trying to suppress the black vote, and was going to contest the nomination at the convention until Obama gave her something.

And THAT is feeding the paranoia running rampant here at DU.

They just don't know and they are also unaware of how GOP operatives are behind a lot f the shit-stirring being done here by those insisting there is a conspiracy to these rules that have been in place in most states for many years, and sometimes, many decades.
