Media and some HRC supporters went overboard in hounding Dr. Paul Song, imo.

Just as some Sanders supporters have exaggerated about then hounded good people endorsing HRC, it is absolutely true that some HRC supporters hounded this good man for comments they chose to exaggerate.

Sanders supporter Dr. Paul Song resigns from Courage Campaign after ‘corporate whore’ comment

“Medicare-for-all will never happen if we continue to elect corporate Democratic whores who are beholden to big pharma and the private insurance industry instead of us,” he said at the rally on April 14.

After facing a backlash, Song insisted he wasn’t referring to Sanders’ Democratic rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“I want to apologize to Secretary Clinton for my insensitive use of the word ‘whores’ and to adamantly profess that this was never intended nor directed at her, as some have incorrectly interpreted,” Song wrote.

Enough is enough. The circular firing squad has claimed too many good people, at this point. Are Gloria Steinem, Dolores Huerte, John Lewis, and now Dr. Paul Song really the enemies of democracy some want to claim?

1. Hillary supporters will never know the work Dr. Song has done on single payer.

Hillary knows this too, and in reality, I really don't think it makes her happy to see this happen to him. She knows the PNHP group well.

Her supporters should know this.

9. He apologized and the knee-jerk reactions were still overthetop, imo.

But, who cares anymore that there are real people being hurt by the backlash ginned up through massive exaggeration, like Gloria Steinem, Dolores Huerte, and now Paul Song? Right?

Song's phrase "corporate whores" is commonplace for sold-out politicians from either side of the aisle.

Bernie people never get dirty and low like the opposition.

Sometimes I feel like I support Sanders for his common sense and despite the lack of sense of some of his alleged 'supporters' here. I say alleged because I am convinced some of the newer ones are trolls here to encourage disruption of party affiliation. aka GOP trolls.
