Will Sanders do the same thing if he loses his home state of NY?

(89,264 posts)Rubio is the current senator representing the state.
That's not the case with Sanders and politically Clinton has more current ties to the state

(11,607 posts)Rubio dropped out after losing the state he represents in the Senate. Bernie won the state he represents in the Senate by such a large margin that Hillary got no pledged delegates there.
On the other hand, by your logic, Hillary should drop out if she loses NY.

Bernie is in this to the convention and the nomination!

Zynx
(21,328 posts)crap about his "wins." Yeah, a bunch of caucus states for the most part, and mainly small ones at that. Assuming he loses NY, he falls almost irrevocably behind.

(39,451 posts)Is that what you are saying? Because it sure sounds like that to me.
Zynx
(21,328 posts)He wins a lot of land and not that much population. Besides, your side is the one actually discounting a full third of the country. In fact, your candidate does it routinely. I've never seen Hillary demean any state she has lost. Bernie does it all the time because he's a sad vindictive person who can't recognize that there are millions who don't like him.
Of course you just heaved an impressive amount of self-righteous bullshit and nonsense that I'm sure made yourself feel good, but didn't actually make any sense.

(39,171 posts)and enlarging that lead is MEANINGLESS? Interesting logic there to say the least.

This is an argument without merit. I dismiss it with disdain.
Corporate666
(587 posts)it's not about how many primaries you win, but rather about how many delegates you amass.
And Bernie is down by 200.
How do you figure a loss in NY is meaningless?
There are ~1650 delegates left. Bernie is down by 200. He needs to get 57% of all the remaining delegates to get the nomination. 15% of all remaining delegates are up for grabs tomorrow.
Tomorrow is do or die for him.
