The "leave my guns alone" crowd cross the spectrum.

(20,317 posts)Again-- pointless in the context you provided. Yes, there are 'some' who fit the description you mention. So? There are 'some' who fit just about any description you care to put up.
There was no information there saying any sizable proportion of Sanders supporters fit either of your descriptors-- just 'some'.

(10,751 posts)...and 18% "Hillary or bust" voters...
and your response is to call the "Bernie or bust" voters Paulbots, Libertarians, or Trump supporters. With nary a word about the "Hillary or bust" voters.
Not that I'm surprised.
So what is your explanation for the "Hillary or bust" voters? What horrible secrets are they hiding about their actual affiliation, that they won't vote for the Democratic nominee if it isn't Hillary?
MADem
(135,425 posts)Probably a lot of the HRC or Bust sentiment has to do with a lot of the trashing and thrashing (Whore, Throwing Money at HRC, etc) that Sanders' supporters have been doing of late.
I haven't seen the HRC crew push back against that ugliness--this is the first suggestion that they've had enough of the insults.
...if a Bernie supporter says they will not vote for the other D candidate, they are disloyal and ruining the Democratic Party; while if a Hillary supporter says they will not vote for the other D candidate, they are totally justified.
Garbage.

(10,751 posts)...was your assessment of the "Bernie or bust" voters. Which certainly suggests that you put some weight on that poll. Yet, when challenged that there is an even higher percentage of "Hillary or bust" voters, you suddenly are questioning the poll's MOE.
Listen, genius. If you are going to use poll results to make your case, you cannot then turn around and say the poll is invalid with a great big MOE. If that was so important to you, you would have either (a) pointed out the possible MOE thing to the OP, or (b) refrained from responding.
Done here.

(135,425 posts)If it's large, a difference between thirteen and eighteen percent can be pretty much meaningless.
And if you're going to insult people with comments like "Listen genius" you won't last here very much longer. There's a low tolerance for that kind of assholishness of late and hopefully, once this primary is concluded, the boom will be lowered against that kind of childish, churlish personal invective.
More to the point, it would help if you knew what a damn MOE was before you started tossing around those sorts of comments. It's obvious you didn't have a doggone clue.
Of course you're "done here." You were done before you even started. "TTFN."

(40,416 posts)Or do you mean a little finch in OR putting Hillary supporters on their fainting couches? Or, her supporters ever clamoring for Bernie to give up, just like the Wicked Witch of the West (no offense intended other than the OZ metaphor). Do you mean childishness like that?
And I have never been either PUMA or Bernie or bust. I will vote for the Democratic nominee, but it will be the most difficult vote of my 68 years if Hillary Clinton gets the nod. The only thing that might save her is that all the GOP candidates are mad as hatters.
You should pray that it does not come to that! Her negatives are in the cellar, especially with independents. In case one isn't paying attention, nobody wins the Oval Office without independents.
I recommend that you vote for Bernie.

(3,431 posts)since the Indies are not allowed to vote.
So, if Bernie normally gets 60% of their support
in comparison to HRC's 30-35%, you will see a
different picture.
I predicted for a long time that 12-15% of dems
would not vote for her, and that is just about
right with these preliminary results.

Also, some independents are really not going to dig the socialism thing. They don't go on Twitter or stuff like that, but they are out there, and when they start hearing about how he's going to raise their taxes, look out.
