I'm going with the "none are on DU tonight" option and that the reason is because turnout was so high that everyone is still standing in line trying to vote for Bernie.
yep!

(14,944 posts)Small town upstate. Busy little place, no waiting around 5 PM. But there has never been any waiting so ya got me. I know quite a few very passionate voters, some are for Hillary, some for Bernie. It will be interesting to see how local republicans vote.

(3,937 posts)met one and only one hillary supporter who watches Chris Matthews and parrots him. He was not going to vote. Thinks Hillary has this wrapped up.
Meanwhile neighbors that I didn't think actually gave a poop, were telling me they already threw the lever for Sanders. A friend who "doesn't like politics" went for Sanders also.

(11,605 posts)I was the 54th Democratic voter at my precinct in Northern Nassau this morning. No line, but that is not unusual - I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to vote since I became a New York voter in 2012.
I just greeted people getting off the train at 7:30 and again at 8:30, and of the people who acknowledged me, about 50% said they had voted, 15% said they were on their way to vote, about 10% were registered but didn't know when the polls closed or where to vote, and about 25% weren't registered/were independent/didn't care enough to vote.
I helped several people find their polling place, although I can't say how they were going to vote. A few said they were voting for Bernie because I was carrying Bernie literature, but others did not say. I helped whoever wanted it figure out where to vote and know their rights, because I believe in the right and duty to vote more than I believe in any one candidate.
Overall, it didn't feel like there was a ton of buzz about the election here on Long Island. I can't speak for the rest of the state.
