Romney to Reinstate Military Draft

Is restarting the military draft in the plans of Mitt Romney and the GOP??

1. Romney has surrounded himself with Bush/Cheney's neo-con foreign (i.e. war) advisors.
2. Romney said he "will create 12 million jobs".
3. In recent months, he has talked about wars with multiple countries.
4. Finally, Romney said he wants to increase the military budget by 2 Trillion dollars.

Doing all of this at once can easily be achieved by reinstating the military draft!!!

And Republicans love starting WARS!!! I'd like to know how much stock politicians own in companies that are part of the "military industrial complex"? Having such stock and the ability to vote for war is a conflict of interest!! Such companies would include Boeing, General Dynamics, Northrup-Grumman, Lockheed, Raytheon, etc., etc. Neo cons probably own huge piles of stock in these companies and peace only makes them lose money.

The Gulf War II proved the repubs have no stomach for reinstating the draft. We had insufficient numbers of troops during the second Gulf War. I remember George W using the ready reserve to try and fill troop shortfalls; I remember seeing 300 lb men being called in.

The last administration outsourced the war, remember? It drives up costs and allows the government to line up support (campaign contributions) from companies that want a piece of the action. The only reason we don't need a draft now is because the economy is in bad shape so more people are willing to volunteer (and thank you to those who serve).

It might not be in their current plans, but they're more than capable of putting us in situations where they decide to just throw more manpower at their mess than back down and concede they were wrong.

They are shameless opportunists, and will change their tactics on a dime to push their higher goal (which is, in the end, that the world will hail them as policy geniuses).

the amount he states he would have to try Of course that would make Congressman Rangel sorta happy. As long as it included everyone and not just the unfortunate sons and daughters.

10. If rMoney steals this one, we're going to lose a lot more than the 58,000 troops we lost in VN.

He'll be balls to the wall for Halliburton and the other warmonger profiteers. Cannon fodder like our children won't matter, unless they're Mormon's, in which case they'll "serve" as missionaries. Oh, and then there will be the gas bags with anal cysts. Can't forget those. And the drunken TANG morons who go AWOL, and pretty much anyone else with money and connections.
