according to cnn exit poll they voted clinton 52 to 48 so many dems think bernie is mor ehonest but say screw him i would rather have liar clinton.

I think Sanders is easily the most trustworthy candidate on either side. Still won't get my primary vote.

I assume self-interest and political advantage motivate all politicians; I care more about intellect, ability, and competency. I just don't see Sanders as being bright enough for the job.

I know you won't agree with that assessment, and I'm fine with that. Rest assured, if Bernie wins the nom I'll happily vote for him, but my preference is Clinton based on political ability alone.

Cynical? Sure. Anyone who isn't cynical about politics is a dipshit in my estimation. I don't have heroes among the ranks of politicians.
