Wed Apr 20, 2016, 10:05 AM

There are 27 congressional districts in NY.

He won 6. She won 21.

Congressional districts are, generally, population centric lines drawn.

Counties are, generally, land boundary lines.

If trees could vote, he woulda killed it last night.

Delegates are awarded by population votes not acreage won.

Primaries are for a Party to choose its candidate. Rules are set by parties in each state.
The General Election is to choose a government from the options available.

The freedom to join, leave, or not join a party is protected by the Constitution under the 14th amendment. Right of Association People are free not to join a party, but the party can also set the rules about choosing its standard bearer.

To sum up: The primary and general have different purposes. Freedom of Association under the 14th amendment grants parties the right to choose their standard bearer.

It is really that simple.
