It was a last minute desperation move.

3. A desperation move to let registered voters vote.

I guess yours wasn't dumped this year. Better check before November, there's always time!

10. No, many registered Democrats did not!

After registering as a Democrat, or checking that they were still registered as a Democrat, or feeling sure they were registered as a Democrat and didn't have to look it up, they got to the polls and were told that they ARE NOT REGISTERED AS A DEMOCRAT and couldn't vote. 126,000 people, at least!

So, NO, not all registered Democrats "voted in it," only those not purged from the Democratic Party voting rolls without their knowledge.

Clinton supporters' obliviousness to this outrage is yet one more reason not ever to join with you in "party unity" in support of Clinton, if we are so unfortunate as to have her inflicted on us as our nominee. I don't have "unity" with people who spit on other peoples' right to vote.

6. But if all the provisional ballots were for Sanders, he still would lose.

It's useful to find out why the voting rolls were askew, but that's likely some computing error.

9. I suspect they would still be counted, because it affects the number of delegates

I know that my friends in AZ who had to vote provisional because of the computer fuck up checked afterwards, and theirs were indeed counted, despite the race not being close.

11. How do you know how many provisional ballots there were?

Got some inside info from the Clinton campaign? Please share.

And how do you know that it's "likely some computing error" that at least ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND voters were purged from the voting rolls?

Hm-m-m?

You're just spouting propaganda.

And something else you're doing: spitting on other peoples' right to vote.

5. I read years ago they only count absentee ballots if the race is close.

I would imagine the same is true of provisional ballots. I doubt there are enough provisional ballots to change the results significantly, so they just won't bother.

Part of the political kubuki theater.

8. It's a crime to make false claims in order to get a provisional ballot.

Poll workers will give you a provisional ballot if you absolutely insist (even under false pretenses) but the voter must still follow-through and provide the proper documentation (such as their original voter registration card) to prove that they'd actually registered as a Democrat.

If the chief judges at the polling place are convinced that the voter has the correct documentation, then he/she can verify it, then and there. The judge/s fill in the proper form, and the ballot will be counted during canvassing later on at the dept of elections office.

If no documentation is available at the time, the voter can still fill in the provisional ballot which is saved in a privacy envelope with their name and code number (that's also printed on a tear-off receipt). The judges fill in the form that indicate what the problem was, and what the voter must do in order to correct the problem.

At that point, it's incumbent upon the voter to then return to the dept of elections (usually within ten days) to present whatever proof of eligibility was required, or to present proof that a mistake had been made. Upon the presentation of their truthful documentation AND their "tear-off" receipt (that identifies their provisional ballot envelope) ... if the elections office is satisfied, then their ballot is retrieved, removed from the envelope, and counted.

If the voter is lying or presenting fraudulent documentation, then they open themselves up to prosecution.

And I guess it's unanimous among Clinton supporters on this thread to use other people's right to vote as a kind of spittoon, into which you squirt your gewy little bubbles of contempt.

At least ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX THOUSAND Democratic voters were dumped from the Democratic Party voting rolls in New York without their consent, and there is no evidence--NONE!--that any of them made a fraudulent claim to become a registered Democrat.

So what's this lo-o-o-ong comment all about, huh? Sneer and spit. That's what Clinton supporters seem inclined to do with other peoples' right to vote.

It is disgusting.

14. I'm talking about the purge of DEMOCRATIC voters!
Wed Apr 20, 2016, 02:53 PM
Apr 2016

Not talking about closed primaries! Clinton supporters keep confusing the two, and I can't help but think it's deliberate.

The DEMOCRATIC primary was CLOSED to 126,000 DEMOCRATIC voters, by arbitrary purging of the DEMOCRATIC voting rolls, in which DEMOCRATIC voters' registration status was CHANGE without their consent.

And I won't ask you to "deal with it" because you and other Clinton supporters have established that you don't give a goddamn.

To me, the right to vote is sacred. To you, apparently, it's just trash you kick into the gutter on your power walk.
