Kerry states plus Ohio

Is all Pres Obama needs that gets him to 270 (And that is excluding NM and NV which look safe). Yes it was nice in '08 to win states like VA, NC, FL, IN, and CO but even a solid win like that did not give him his mandate.

But if you give Obama NM and NV, then he can afford to lose Wisconsin or NH. He could even lose both if either CO or VA goes to him.

That is why I do not understand this MSM narrative.

The 2010 census shifted electoral votes in such a way that adding Ohio isn't enough. But if Obama also gets NM (very likely) and NV (likely), then that's enough.

ETA: In this scenario, which is only one of several, holding NH isn't necessary but holding WI is.

The tighter the election is perceived to be, the more profitable it is for them. More people will be tuned in and glued to their seats. More businesses will buy ad time to take advantage of said people glued to their seats. This is like harvest time for the MSM farmland.
