Obama at 49 percent, Romney 46 percent nine days before election: Reuters/Ipsos poll

WASHINGTON | Sun Oct 28, 2012 12:56pm EDT

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama has extended his narrow lead over Republican challenger Mitt Romney among likely voters in a race that remains statistically tied nine days before the election, according to a Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll released on Sunday.

Obama has a 49 percent to 46 percent edge over Romney, marking a 1 point increase from Saturday but still within the daily online survey's 4 percentage-point credibility interval for likely voters.

They will vote for him reluctantly, but Obama-Biden supporters are motivated. That's why we're seeing unusually high turn-out and movement in polls in the president's direction. It's been there all along.

GOTV. Let's win this thing!

I am hoping the President wins the popular vote as well as the electorial college. It will be better for him. He can claim he has an agenda.

They're messing with the language again.

That kind of wording means anything that happens within that margin is possible.

Don't much like it.
