A significant percentage of Americans either fully believe or are greatly concerned that Obama is some kind of Manchurian Candidate Muslim who wishes to destroy America and institute Sharia Law. They believe this without a scintilla of evidence, only the moronic and tortured logic of Beckian conspiracy musings.
These same people, however, are embracing a former Bishop ( ie, not casual participant) in a religious sect most Americans view as a cult, among whose prophecies include the replacement of the American government with a Mormon Theocracy. Evidence abounds to support this.

Amazing that it is the fundie right wing that wants to impose its strict moral code on American women while the Repub candidates shout about all the freedom they advocate.

Plus Romney is the one with the massive, secretive overseas investments and shady business deals.
